I would have written to you sooner however the minute I returned to Montreal, I got pulled into my responsibilities and as you could probably predict, life got in the way. Leafing through the photos brought back vivid, warm memories of my trip and I couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of the English countryside. Thank you for being sending them so soon! I simply cannot thank you enough for your kind hospitality and the wonderful time I had at your place at Cornwall. It’s been only a couple of weeks however it feels like ages, doesn’t it? I just received the holiday photos today, in the post.

I really got consumed in managing him with series of doctors’ appointment and several nights of staying awake. I made a promise to write you as soon as I settled in, unfortunately I couldn’t keep the promise because my dad’s health was under threat. I really enjoyed their company and ho! those beautiful pictures you sent brings back memories of the beach and garden which were highlight of my holiday. It was such a lovely experience to hang out with your family throughout my vacation in Austria. Thank you for accommodating me in your lovely home. There’s plenty of room and we’ll pick you up at the airport. It’ll be a chance for you to meet the rest of the family and see a bit of England. Next month, we’ll be celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and we’d be delighted if you could come over to celebrate it with us. She seems to be improving now and hopefully will be back to normal soon. Since then we’ve been running around looking after her and getting carers sorted out. Almost as soon as we landed back in the UK, my mother became sick. Sorry, it has taken me so long to write back and thank you. Australia is certainly a scenic country with remarkable landscape and wildlife, particularly up in the north where you are. Staying with you and seeing where you live was a real eye-opener for me. Thank you so much not only for such a memorable holiday but also for the lovely photos that you sent of our holiday together. Although it’s such a short time since we last saw each other, it feels much longer. How are you both? I hope this letter finds you well.
